The story: Wynwood’s newest drinking den is serving an off-the-menu treat called the Evergreen Eggnog. The holiday cocktail is frothy thanks to the egg white, super-boozy with help from tequila and mezcal– and its subtle green glow comes from a magical French liqueur. Beaker & Gray’s bar manager, Ben Potts, combines Patrón Añejo, white Crème de Cacao, mezcal, green Chartreuse, simple syrup and an egg in a cocktail shaker for a vigorous shake to chill and emulsify. This yields a fabulous foam that reaches the rim of the coupe glass without overflowing. He dusts the top with freshly grated cinnamon and nutmeg. We were secretly hoping to sip this out of one of Clark Griswold’s moose mugs, but there’s always next year. (Or BYO?)
