The madness of Miami Music Week is once again upon us (March 15-20), and as always, there’s just too much to do. From superstar DJs headlining each night at all the major clubs to smaller showcases all across town, it’s impossible to experience more than a fraction of all the action.
So to the rescue comes Miami.com, to help you choose wisely and avoid the MMW blues. And the advice is simple: Head for the SiriusXM Music Lounge, which makes its new home at the 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach condo complex this year in celebration of its 10-year anniversary.

In the meantime, here are the top 5 reasons why the ongoing party at theSiriusXM Music Lounge (it runs from noon-6 p.m. Weds-Fri) is the best event of Miami Music Week:
1. The DJ Talent.
You’re gonna hear hot house-music sets from the absolute cream of the crop, including Cedric Gervais, Above & Beyond, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Hardwell, Thomas Jack & Kygo and – hello! – Eric Prydz back-to-back with deadmau5.
2. Free Drinks.
This was initially our No. 1 reason, but it ultimately got bumped because after all, this week is all about the music, right? But not having to plunk down 10 bucks or more every time you need to wet your whistle is pretty huge.
3. The Swag.
These types of events always bring on the goodie bags in full force, chock full of things you never knew you needed, but are delighted to hoard – keychains, bottle openers, CDs, makeup. One year even brought some sweet Penguin caps and T’s.
4. The “Ultra” Connection.
SiriusXM will be broadcasting exclusive sets and other material from the Ultra Music Festival on its UMF Radio (Channel 18) from March 16-28, so the whole vibe of the place will ooze Ultra coolness. Those unwilling or unable to fork over the hundreds of bucks for tickets can experience the festival vicariously.
5. The Crowd.
A classy event typically draws classy people. And even though they’ll be undoubtedly partying hard, they’ll be doing so in a classy way, so feel free to make new friends and get into some classy trouble.
