Karlie Kloss attended Taylor Swift’s wedding — and she responded to a question
What was it like?!!
That’s the question on everyone’s lips. Everyone who cares about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, that is.
On Friday night, the pop queen and football player, both 36, officially tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
How do we know? Beside every major new site blaring the happy news, billboards outside of the Midtown Manhattan landmark lit up with“JUST&T MARRIED” in purple. Get it?
The high-profile yet under-the-radar pair smartly chose the unusual venue, which has long been the site of rock concerts, athletic events, even the circus, for privacy reasons. TMZ reports Swift reportedly spent $1 million plus to rent out the 820,000-square-foot, 58-year-old facility that conveniently has zero windows.
Back to the original question: What was it like? We are in the dark as anyone and can’t snoop because high-profile guests like Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper and Karlie Kloss all had to sign NDAs and turn in their phones.
Soon after the ceremony, Kloss, who had a brief falling out then rapprochement with the Grammy winner, jetted to Paris Fashion Week, where a curious paparazzo from gossip page Deux Moi had to inquire.
“How was Taylor’s wedding?” he asks in the video posted to DM’s Instagram.
The supermodel and part-time Miami Beach resident adjusts her sunglasses, grins like a Cheshire cat and shrewdly responds with a question: “How’s Paris treating you?”
“Hot,” the photographer answers, acknowledging no scoop is forthcoming. “Nice to see you.”
Aw, shucks. No dirt from one of Swift’s besties who went with husband Josh Kushner (Jared’s younger brother) on her arm. But apparently, as per other reliable sources, the over-the-top shindig was amazing, just as you’d expect from a perfectionist like Swift.
Maybe you don’t think a place where beer and sweat flow like water is exactly romantic. However, People magazine editor Charlotte Triggs, whose outlet covered the event for an upcoming issue, told CBS Mornings that the wedding of the millennium was a magical affair with “garden/forest fairytale vibes.”
The unsightly rows upon rows of seats that held countless screaming folks over the decades were draped over so you couldn’t see them, she added. Perhaps the one big nod to average everyday people? The passed hors d‘oeuvres were a mix of “high-low. Like caviar — and chicken nuggets.
The bride and groom wrote their own vows, each lasting about 20 minutes, and the officiant was none other than Adam Sandler, Kelce’s costar in “Happy Gilmore 2.” The stellar entertainment was provided not by Swift, but Sir Paul McCartney who duly performed The Beatles classic “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.”
Robin Roberts from “Good Morning America” who attended alongside cohosts Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos revealed Stevie Nicks also sang.
“[It was] this garden inside the Garden, it was just so beautiful,” added Stephanopoulos. “It’s hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate.”
