Cristiano Ronaldo’s beach day caught on video: ‘Not Photoshop’
If you were lucky enough to be about 80 miles north of Miami on Saturday, you would have been in the vicinity of serious greatness (and eye candy).
We’re talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, who was spotted during a beach day at the Four Seasons Palm Beach. The soccer god, along with the Portuguese national team, was staying at the five-star resort while training at World Cup headquarters at North County District Park in nearby Palm Beach Gardens.
Multiple social media users, bless their hearts, shared videos of CR7 in tight, black swim trunks looking like Adonis in the flesh. (Reps never confirmed the ballers were bunking at the Four Seasons, but the signature striped jade and white umbrellas were a dead giveaway.)
The man himself also posted a GQ-style pic on Instagram (he’s not shy).
Later, after the bathing-suit footage went deservedly viral, Vítor Machado Ferreira, aka Vitinha, was asked about his famous teammate at a news conference. One reporter wanted to inform his readers: How exactly does the father of five keep up such a ripped physique? Were those snaps real?
“I can promise you ... it is not Photoshop, he’s just like that,” Vitinha answered, laughing. “It’s an incredible thing that he keeps going like that being 41 years old. I’m 26 and I am not like that.”
In all seriousness, the midfielder dished that the five-time Ballon d’Or award winner is basically the GOAT. Period. Full stop.
“This is further proof of how dedicated he is,” Vitinha said. “His well-being is so important to him.”
If you now feel the need to stalk the training facility, don’t bother gassing up for the drive or booking a $1,000-a-night room. The whole squad is heading to Houston for their World Cup match at NRG Stadium vs. DR Congo on Wednesday. This marks Ronaldo’s sixth World Cup outing and first game on American soil in almost 12 years.
