Pop queen Rosalía canceled hours before her Miami show. What happened?
Que pasó?
That’s what locals (and out-of-towners) who were psyched to see Rosalía in two shows in Miami want to know.
Just hours before the Spanish songstress was to take the stage at the Kaseya Center Thursday night came a cryptic post on the downtown venue’s Instagram.
“Due to a family emergency, Rosalia has to postpone her upcoming concerts in Miami on June 4 and 6,” said the statement, shared to the star’s account. “She is so sorry to disappoint her fans, but the circumstances have left her with no other choice.”
The online missive goes on to say the red-hot entertainer’s team is working on rescheduling, so hold onto your tickets. Details will apparently trickle in as they come. A Monday show at Orlando’s Kia Center is also postponed.
“Thank you for your patience,” concludes the post.
So, should we all have more patience — or concern?
As for family: The 33-year-old Grammy winner (born Rosalía Vila Tobella) isn’t married. Her last major relationship was with reggaetonero Rauw Alejandro, but that engagement ended in 2023 and no reason was ever made public.
Rosalía, who had a fling with “The Bear” heartthrob Jeremy Allen White for a hot minute, is now rumored to be dating German Netflix actor Emilion Sakraya (”Warrior Nun”). The two were spotted looking cozy in Munich last month. Don’t look for the “Con Altura” hitmaker her on his social media, though, because we already tried.
Back to you, the consumer: According to Ticketmaster, anyone unable to attend Rosalia’s rescheduled shows are eligible for refunds.
Rosalía’s LUX Tour, promoting her fourth studio album of the same name, hit another snag back in March when she had to end a show at Milan’s Unipol Forum early due to food poisoning, telling the crowd she was throwing up backstage.
She updated everyone with a picture on social media later, connected to an IV drip.
“Thank you so much for all the love and understanding from everyone who was there.”
