As anyone with decent WiFi knows, the Alix vs. Alex saga is a pretty big deal.

We’re, of course, referencing the two blond Internet personalities Alix Earle and Alex Cooper, who have millions of followers on TikTok and other platforms.

The women used to be friends and co-collaborators (key words “used to be”). Earle joined Cooper’s L.A. based Unwell Network in 2023, launching her popular podcast “Hot Mess.” Things went swimmingly for a while, until they didn’t.

By early 2025, Earle’s no-holds-barred chatfest was abruptly dropped from Unwell, which is co-owned by Cooper’s husband, media mogul Matt Kaplan. According to the Los Angeles Times, there was tension over issues of “creative control.”

And a source told UsWeekly of the tension: “They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”

Since the, um, separation, Earle and Cooper haven’t exactly patched things up. Just the opposite. The two have been engaging in a subtle war of online words with fans noting passive aggressiveness to the max.

After Earle shared a video of someone calling Cooper, 31, an “ambulance chaser,” she was forced to address her famous frenemy in a TikTok.

“Hey, girl,” the “Call Her Daddy” star said to the camera. “I gotta call you out here. You’re gonna need to get specific, and just say what you gotta say about me. There’s no NDA, no one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself. What’s the beef?”

Earle, 25, did not respond to Cooper, so inquiring minds still want/need to know what happened to cause the viral rift.

While Earle appeared on the “Today” show Tuesday to promote a sexy Sports Illustrated spread, co-host Craig Melvin couldn’t help himself and squarely asked her what was going on.

“I’m trying to keep things pretty positive today. We don’t have that much time here, honestly,” the University of Miami alum replied, looking uncomfortable. “Also, why ruin such a good day with something not so great?”

Melvin kept probing, and wondered if the feud had been blown out of proportion.

“It’s exaggerated,” said the “Dancing with the Stars” runner-up. “I love everyone.”

Melvin volleyed back: “I’m not buying it, but I’ll let you move on.”
