The Beckhams sent Brooklyn b-day wishes amid feud. It didn’t go well
Not happening.
If Victoria and David Beckham thought sweet throwback posts would mend fences with their oldest son, they would be sadly incorrect.
Brooklyn Beckham, who just presided over the Burger Bash at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, hasn’t spoken to the soccer icon and designer in weeks. So why start now?
Well, it happened to be the young man’s 27th birthday on Tuesday, and it stands to reason his parental units would care. The Brits, who recently sold their condo at One Museum Tower, each sent wishes and tributes to the aspiring chef on his big day. But according to Entertainment Tonight, he’s none too pleased that the no-contact rule was broken.
“Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened [they] chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday,” ET’s source said. “These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.”
Yikes. With the world in such a state of turmoil, can’t we all just get along? Unless your WiFi’s been out since mid Jan. 19, you likely know the answer: Probably not.
That’s when the hot-sauce entrepreneur dropped a shocking statement on Instagram, basically saying he is going no contact with the people who created him, and had no interest in reconciling.
In sum, Brooklyn claimed he’d been “controlled” by the famous couple his entire life and needed to step away to go be happy with his wife, Nicola Peltz. The final straw appeared to be Victoria’s alleged “embarrassing” behavior, which included her “dancing inappropriately” with the groom at their Palm Beach wedding in April 2022, according to the post.
Neither the Inter Miami co-owner, 50, nor the former Spice Girl, 51, have commented on the viral diatribe or ongoing feud, and are said to be “heartbroken” over the estrangement.
So is Brooklyn happy now?
Peltz, for one, is definitely in his corner. “The Last Airbender” star, 31, made sure the world knew how appreciated hubby was, sharing a video of their mini celebration. In the clip, Brooklyn, surrounded by gold balloons, blows out candles on pink doughnuts that spell out his name.
“Hope all your dreams and wishes come true!” gushed the actress-heiress in the caption. “You light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you. You’re the most special human and I love being your wife. I love you, I love you, I love you....”
