How Padma Lakshmi celebrated ‘epic’ b-day with daughter in Miami
Where do you go to celebrate milestone birthdays? Miami, of course. Especially in the dead of a brutal winter.
Padma Lakshmi knows the deal. The former “Top Chef” host, 55, escaped the snowy streets of NYC to celebrate daughter Krishna’s 16th trip around the sun over the weekend. (Dad is the TV personality’s ex, Adam Dell, brother of tech titan Michael Dell).
Lakshmi posted a carousel of their festive, culinary adventure on Instagram. The ladies, who looked to be staying at the Miami Beach Edition Hotel, hung out by the ocean eating Morelia paletas (aka ice pops), then lit up our fine-dining scene.
One video shows the foodies watching an acrobatic dancer twirl over a fire-specked fountain at one of the 305’s hottest spots: That would be MILA in Miami Beach, which was recently ranked the highest-grossing independent restaurant in the country.
In another clip, you see mother and daughter indulging in the Caribbean cuisine at speakeasy-inspired Mangrove in downtown.
“Had an epic birthday week with the teen,” Lakshmi captioned the post. “For her 17th year I think I’m just gonna leave her alone! (Her suggestion, not mine. UGH!).”
