Hey, ‘Survivor’ fans: Here’s a look at a popup cafe in Miami just for you

Anyone who has lived in South Florida during hurricane season may relate to being a participant on “Survivor.”

You batten down the hatches, forage for food at Publix and pray to all that is holy that the power doesn’t fail.

Now you can really channel being part of the tribe, from the safety of a temporary venue located inside Jungle Island.

The Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe, an homage to the OG reality show that began airing May 31, 2000 (yes), opens Saturday.

Longtime host Jeff Probst won’t be on hand at the pop-up restaurant, but a celebrity chef will be minding the kitchen: “Chopped” champ Becky Brown. Her tropical-fusion menu includes “Survivor” themed dishes like the Double Elimination Burger, OutPlay Chicken Satay and Campfire Carnitas Tacos.

The cafe’s opening in the 305 is pegged to the 50th season of the iconic series, in which a group of castaways in a remote location are forced to fend for themselves while the world watches. The person who has the fortitude to overcome multiple physical and mental challenges wins bragging rights, plus a hefty cash prize of $1 million.

Sorry, no prizes will be given out here, but visitors will likely get a fun Instagram post or two out of the experience. Suggestions: Take a selfie during a mock tribal council, pose in front of a wall of past winners or film yourself baring your soul in the confessional booth.

“’Survivor’ is the gold standard of reality TV competition,” says event organizer Bucket Listers’ president of experiences Derek Berry, who adds watch parties are in the future. “We’re beyond thrilled to continue joining forces with CBS and give fans a chance to step directly into the game — without the fear of bug bites or being voted off the island.”

Info: Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe, Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Watson Island, Miami. Opens Saturday through April 12; www.bucketlisters.com. Tickets, from $31.45, include a 90-minute seated reservation plus $10 food credit and $5 merch credit. All ages are welcome; kids under 2 don’t need a ticket.

FYI: Upon arrival, go upstairs to the ballroom, where there is a separate entrance to the cafe. Parking is a flat rate of $20, but you won’t need an admission ticket for Jungle Island to enter.
