Three years after her divorce, Gisele is a (re)married woman in Miami
Gisele Bundchen has only been living in the Miami area for a few years, but has already gone through more life changes than your average bear.
When the supermodel, now 45, relocated to South Florida in 2020, she was still very much married to NFL superstar Tom Brady, who had just joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Unfortunately, the parents of two began having marital issues while they were in the midst of building their dream home in Indian Creek Village, aka Billionaire Bunker, near Miami Beach.
Many followers of the power couple blamed Brady’s fickle career decisions for their problems. In February 2022, the NFL icon announced he was retiring from football, a move Bundchen had publicly supported for the sake of their family.
But just 40 days later, the famed quarterback backpedaled, linking back up with the Bucs, to (we heard) his wife’s dismay. Bundchen had put her modeling career on hold for several years while raising their children in Boston when Brady was with the New England Patriots and was reportedly pining to reclaim the spotlight.
Welp ... a few months after Brady’s so called unretirement came other another milestone: The D-word. The exes’ dissolution of marriage, after 13 years, was finalized in October 2022 by a judge in Glades County, Florida.
Each party released a separate statement, pledging to co-parent amicably.
Bundchen ended up buying two properties in Surfside across the way from Brady’s Billionare Bunker megamansion with neighbors that include Jeff Bezos and Ivanka Trump. She soon began dating her kids’ jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, who runs a self-defense training school with his brother in North Miami Beach.
The relationship with the fellow Brazilian, 38, got intense quickly, with Bundchen soon sporting a baby bump around town. Their baby son, whose name was never released, was born in February 2025.
And just like that, three years later, Bundchen, took another major step — marrying Valente earlier this month.
People magazine says the intimate ceremony was held Dec. 3 at one of the bride’s homes in Surfside.
Don’t bother looking for any lovey-dovey announcements on social media or registries seeking silverware at Macy’s. These two crave their privacy, likely due to her high-profile ex (anyone who watched Brady’s brutal Netflix roast remembers the topic of his divorce was a running gag).
“Gisele didn’t feel the need to share the wedding with anyone outside of her family unit,” an insider told People. “It just reflected where she is in her life right now. After the baby was born, it felt natural to get married. It wasn’t about outside pressure, or expectations. It was something she wanted for personal reasons ... She’s very, very happy.”
