Tyrese Gibson has been making headlines lately, but not for his acting. The “Fast & Furious” star has been notably in the news for what’s happening off-screen.

There’s the ongoing custody battle with his ex-wife Samantha Lee Gibson, who moved their 7-year-old daughter Soraya to Oregon from Georgia, where he lives, without his consent. In October, Gibson filed legal documents asking the court to step in and give him primary custody. The case is ongoing.

Also in October, Gibson was arrested in Atlanta on a charge of cruelty to animals after his four Cane Corsos allegedly killed a neighbor’s King Charles Cavalier. The actor was released the same day on $20,000 bond.

Gibson’s lawyer Gabe Banks told Fox News Digital that Gibson was not at home at the time of the incident and extended his “deepest condolences” to the dead pet’s family. Banks added that Gibson rehomed his dogs to “a safe and loving environment.”

After two stressful life events happening in quick succession, it’s no wonder Gibson wanted to let off some steam while in town for Art Basel festivities.

Last Thursday, the action star was in Miami Beach attending DJ Khaled’s We The Best Foundation’s golf tournament, then busted a move at Swizz Beatz’s party at Bagatelle.

“Tyrese totally stole the show when he arrived,” a fellow guest told Page Six. “He lit up the dance floor and was getting everyone up on their feet.”

The L.A. native shared Page Six’s Instagram video of him salsa-ing to Celia Cruz, writing in the caption, “I thought I was retired from clubs!!! I def didn’t go to this event to dance!!!! The LATIN FIRE energy in Miami TOOK OVER MY SOUL!!!!!” Also enriching Gibson’s soul is philanthropy. On Monday, the 46-year-old flew to Jamaica with Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), a nonprofit started by his late “F&F” costar Paul Walker. Rapper Busta Rhymes was also on the cargo plane packed with supplies for those still recovering from Hurricane Melissa last month.
