Glen Powell, model? Here’s why the actor struck a pose in Miami Beach
Glen Powell’s all over the place lately, and we have no complaints.
The Hollywood hunk is a cover model for Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue; he’s starring in “The Running Man” remake, now in theaters; and just hosted “Saturday Night Live.”
On Tuesday evening, the “Twister” star made time (literally) for his role as brand ambassador for Omega in Miami Beach.
The Swiss watchmaker hosted a party at Faena Forum beachfront event space to launch its newest collection, Seamaster Planet Ocean.
In promotional materials, Omega explains Powell was chosen as one of the faces of the renowned company:
“From within, Glen Powell embodies what the Planet Ocean stands for — momentum, presence, and versatility for any challenge.”
On Instagram, Powell showed off his fancy wrist candy (prices start around $5,000 and go way, way up).
Models come in blue, black and the actor’s “personal favorite” color, orange. OK, that definitely has to do with a particular football team, not Florida’s state fruit. Powell’s a huge fan of the University of Texas’ Longhorns, he told Local 10 News.
The Austin native dropped out of the school in 2008 to pursue his movie career, but recently re-enrolled; graduation’s set for Spring 2027.
Seems the 37-year-old is in a better frame of mind these days being back home with his Texan tribe.
“I needed a spiritual place where I could hang my hat and truly be unplugged,” he told Vanity Fair. “If you live in L.A. … where everyone is sort of a part of this thing, you can’t ever sign off of that app.”
