The View’s Ana Navarro’s comment about Miami shocks crowd: ‘Oh, that’s awful!’
If you’ve watched Ana Navarro in action over the years, you already know she doesn’t mince words.
On Tuesday morning, her words went viral on “The View.”
While the panel was interviewing former vice president Kamala Harris about her political memoir “107 Days,” Whoopi Goldberg announced that Navarro would be moderating a discussion with Harris in Miami later this fall.
The native Nicaraguan confirmed the event, and then looked out at the crowd:
“It’s Miami so...” smirked the Coral Gables resident. “If you haven’t been deported yet, come see us!”
While Goldberg cringed, the audience laughed nervously, as did Harris, who told Navarro, “Oh, that’s awful!”
Then the former Democratic candidate added sarcastically: “Maybe or maybe not she’ll be moderating!”
In her recent Instagram posts, Navarro, a longtime critic of Donald Trump, has shown videos of migrants being detained by ICE agents in Miami, which has several detention centers, including the highly controversial Alligator Alcatraz in the Florida Everglades.
Until we hear otherwise, Harris is still set to wrap her 15-city tour in Miami at the Arsht Center’s Ziff Opera House at 8 p.m. Nov. 20, with the firecracker Navarro presiding.
