Sylvester Stallone, Florida man: Why he’s embraced his new home state

Sylvester Stallone is a full-on, proud Florida man.

In late 2020, the “Rocky” star, 79, and his wife Jennifer Flavin, 57, plunked down $35.4 million for a 13,241-square-foot mansion in Palm Beach’s North End. They relocated from Los Angeles full time last year.

In a new interview with Fox News Digital, the Hollywood icon listed off a few reasons as to why he and the missus have adapted so well to their new home.

“I love it,” said Stallone, “First of all, the air always seems to be clean. We’re very, very near the water and that makes my wife incredibly happy, which makes me happy. It just something about it. It’s just so lush.”

Granted, living large in a sprawling, resort style compound isn’t exactly like renting a condo in West Kendall.

The couple, married 28 years with three grown daughters, opened the doors for a tour, in a recent issue of Veranda magazine. And yes, it’s all that.

Besides a private beach, the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate has amenities galore, including a library, movie theater, elevator, temperature-controlled wine room, pool/spa and naturally, a fully equipped gym.

Stallone knew what he was signing up for when he relocated to the Sunshine State. The native New Yorker studied drama at both Miami-Dade College and the University of Miami in the late ’60s.

Despite having no degree, Sly did pretty well for himself, eventually becoming one of the biggest action stars on the planet. In the early ‘90s, at the height of his success, the blockbuster king bought an incredible Neoclassical-style villa on Biscayne Bay, near Vizcaya. The ornate, art-filled house, which the “Rambo” actor sold in 1999 for $16M plus, was spotlighted in Architectural Digest (check out the Rocky sculpture by the pool).

“I’m not a stranger to the environment,” Stallone concluded. “It fits my personality much better.”
