Midtown Miami is getting fancier by the minute.

That’s because famed French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is jumping into the real estate game there, opening his first-ever residential project, Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences.

The Michelin-starred toque partnered with developers Terra and Lion Development Group to launch the 48-story tower, which will house 329 condos ranging from one to four bedrooms, at 3600 NE Second Avenue. Completion is set for 2028.

The latest celebrity buyer? Argentinian polo star Nacho Figueras, who just purchased a 2,951-square-foot, three-bedroom, three and a half bath pad for right around the $3M mark.

Figueras says his son Hilario Figueras, who is also a budding polo player, will use it as a “pied-à-terre.”

Lucky kid. The apartment is a dream, with soaring ceilings, a kitchen co-designed by Vongrichten and a private terrace with sweeping views of the city below. The amenities for residents are also off the chain – including landscaped gardens, a swimming pool with cabanas, library, rooftop restaurant, juice bar, even a podcast-recording studio. The ground floor will house Jean-Georges’ abc kitchens, serving a fusion of plant-forward-meets-Latin food.

Sounds like Figueras — who is primarily based in Palm Beach with his wife Delfina and their three other kids — will be visiting often.

“Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences offers everything polo players like us could ask for,” said Figueras in press materials. “A home where every detail is handled, blending lifestyle, services, and effortless living.”

Hilario adds that he’s over the moon about the neighborhood, close to the upscale shops in the Design District and hip bars in Wynwood.

“[The] walkability, elegance, and vibrant culture, combined with Miami’s rise as a hub for health and wellness, make this the perfect home – a place that resonates with our lifestyle,” he said.

Nicole Cardona of Douglas Elliman represented this deal.
