Ex ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ star breaks silence in bombshell video
Todd Nepola is silent no more.
Alexia Echevarria’s ex-husband set the record straight about his current plot line on “Real Housewives of Miami” in a bombshell social media post last Friday.
In a 10-minute-long Instagram video, the real estate developer rants about how the show portrayed him in a negative light, first accusing him of having financial problems, then painting him as a deadbeat stepdad.
This season, Nepola became public enemy No. 1 after Echevarria tearfully told castmates that the businessman left her high and dry, packing up all his stuff and leaving their shared home without any notice. The reality vet added fuel to the fire, saying the move hurt her younger son Frankie Rosello, who is living with a traumatic brain injury from a 2011 car accident.
Nepola said bringing Frankie into the mix was “the final straw” and why he now intends to sue Bravo.
In his caption, he addresses “RHOM” producers directly:
“I tried to stay silent. I truly did,” the native New Yorker wrote. “I believed that by stepping back, I was taking the high road—letting you tell your story, even when it was wildly false and deeply manipulated. But enough is enough. Your lies, bullying, and behind-the-scenes extortion tactics have gone too far.”
The post continues to say that the reason he stayed quiet about the “circus” was that he loved his wife, despite filing for divorce in April 2024 (it was finalized in March of this year).
“Call me names. Twist the truth. Suggest whatever you want about my character. But the second you dared portray me as someone who doesn’t care about my stepson, a young man living with a brain injury — you revealed who you really are. You’ve enabled cruelty, encouraged hate, and turned mean-spiritedness into entertainment.”
For the record, Nepola said Echevarria’s account about how he moved out and left Frankie “distraught” on the couch is not true.
“It’s just for the story line,” he tells his followers, adding that Alexia is an “amazing mother,” as is his biological father, former drug kingpin Pedro Rossello.
“Beyond those two people, there’s nobody on planet earth that’s done a 1,000th of what I’ve done for Frankie in the last seven years,” Nepola says. “I’m not this horrible person they make me out to be, but at the end of the day, I have to stand up myself, and what we’ll do is I’ll tell my side of the story, and Bravo can tell their side of the story, and you the viewers will get to judge what you believe and what you don’t believe.”
The diatribe received almost 4,000 likes, with many fans congratulating him for speaking up.
Among his biggest supporters? Former “RHOM” star Ana Quincoces who had her own share of issues with the ladies and left after only one season.
The TV chef/Skinny Latina founder reposted Nepola’s clip, writing she could recommend a good defamation lawyer.
“When the receipts finally start posting themselves,” the post sniped, “feeling vindicated, validated, and very seen.”
