Elusive tennis star Anna Kournikova spotted in Miami — it’s the first time in months
Like the sighting of an elusive panther, we caught a rare glimpse of Anna Kournikova in the Miami area on Monday.
Well, we didn’t. Paparazzi hired by Hola! magazine photographed the retired tennis star doing the most mundane, everyday thing ever: taking her kids to school.
The 44-year-old native Russian was seen walking her adorable brood (dad is Enrique Iglesias) across the street, toting their water bottles. The kids — which include 7-year-old twins Nicholas and Lucy and Mary, 5 — are obediently following after mom, one by one, like little ducklings.
It’s unclear where the power couple’s children attend school and that’s probably the point. Kournikova is bordering on Greta Garbo private so we doubt she’d want the general pop knowing such things.
The last time fans got wind of her was at Bal Harbour Shops in March, sporting a medical boot and being pushed in a wheelchair. The pics sparked an online frenzy, with keyboard physicians diagnosing all sorts of maladies. Turns out it wasn’t anything serious, just an old sports injury.
The little we do know about this famous fam is they own a chunk of property in the Bay Point neighborhood, north of downtown. In July, Iglesias, 50, expanded his real estate footprint even more. A company tied to the pop star paid $6.5 million for a five-bedroom home on the same block where he and Kournikova have lived for years. Their compound now encompasses a whopping 2.5 acres.
