We hear Ivanka Trump is dipping her toes into politics again. Here’s how
Just when she thought she was out, Ivanka Trump is getting pulled back into politics.
Sort of, kind of.
The former White House advisor (during father President Donald Trump’s first term) is reportedly making a return to Washington, D.C., for a gig next summer.
UFC president Dana White told Front Office Sports that Ivanka is “involved” in organizing a live fight on the White House grounds in July to mark America’s 250 years of independence.
“I feel really good about how that’s progressing,” White told the outlet, adding that meetings are about to commence in the nation’s capital. “We’ll be making a presentation and then will look to hear back about what they like about it and don’t like.”
It’s unclear who will be duking it out at the matchup but we hear the public will be able to watch it go down in real time, perhaps on CBS.
The native New Yorker’s involvement with her father’s second administration (even in an entertainment capacity) is somewhat surprising, given her prior stance on goings-on inside the Beltway.
A few months back, while appearing on the “Skinny Confidential/Him & Her” podcast, Ivanka basically said she was done.
“I love policy and impact; I hate politics,” the 43-year-old said. “Unfortunately, the two are not separable. There’s a darkness in that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.”
These days you’ll find Ivanka someplace warmer about 1,000 miles away.
Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner and their three kids moved to a luxury condo in Surfside soon after Trump lost the election to Joe Biden. The family soon settled into a huge compound in so-called Billionaire Bunker, with such illustrious neighbors as Jeff Bezos and Tom Brady.
