Bethenny Frankel is officially a Florida woman: She tried her first ‘Pub Sub’
It’s official. Bethenny Frankel is a Florida woman.
The former “Real Housewives of NYC” star, who is busy settling into her new digs in Boca Raton, went through the initiation process the other day.
Frankel didn’t experience a hurricane or wrestle an alligator. She tried her first sub sandwich from Publix supermarket, affectionately known to locals as a “Pub Sub.”
On her Instagram Tuesday, the seafood lover shared a video showing her “sexy and thick” order, which was actually meant as lunch for her employee.
The tuna salad was packed onto whole wheat bread, and topped with jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, banana peppers, pickle chips, onions, salt, pepper, and the pièce de résistance, mashed avocado, which cost ”an extra 50 cents.”
Amazingly, Frankel’s employee, who rated the meal a “10,” was a Pub Sub virgin too, claiming to be a Subway fan.
“Wow. OK. I love when I come to Florida and show Floridians things,” said Frankel, who recently sold her mansion in the Hamptons to relocate down south with her teen daughter Bryn. “Now I need a bite.”
“Mmmm,” announced the Shark Tank entrepreneur, with her mouth full. “It’s sickening, it’s really good. That is taste and comfort.”
Her worker asks her not to eat the whole sandwich.
“One bite, everyone knows the rules,” deadpanned the Bravolebrity, using Dave Portnoy’s signature pizza review phrase, then added: “Nobody knows the rules in Florida.”
Yep, she’s one of us now.
