Lele Pons’ gender reveal in Miami didn’t exactly go according to plan. See the clip

The concept probably looked great on paper.

Lele Pons and Guaynaa’s unique gender reveal party in Miami descended into chaos in a video that went viral over the weekend.

The clip starts out innocently enough. The influencer and Puerto Rican rapper are lined up with their family and friends on a makeshift stage in plastic ponchos; one side was wearing blue, the other pink.

Pons and Guaynaa stand over a “TNT” buzzer, as everyone counts down, “Tres, dos, uno!” then push down on the “explosive.”

Suddenly, thick pink goo explodes from the ceiling, reminiscent of the way kids got slimed on Nickelodeon TV back in the day.

Everyone on the Team Girl side is completely saturated, including Pons, who slips in the gelatinous substance and falls, not once but twice. The “Dancing with the Stars” alum appears to land on her knee, narrowly avoiding her baby bump slamming on the ground.

Guaynaa, who had already bolted from the scene to keep dry, runs back to help his wife, who is now upright, but teetering slightly. She starts jumping for joy, arms in the air, laughing in excitement, and the two hug.

The local event planner, Gender Reveal Miami, shared footage from the wet and wild shindig on its Instagram. One of the captions explains that the parents to be, who wed at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in March 2023, requested the paint.

“Over a month of planning, executed to perfection,” said the post. “We met every expectation and requirement approved by Lele and Guaynaa.”

A scan of GRM’s website shows that the celeb-loved company, which is located near Hialeah, doesn’t normally offer this type of service. Their past reveals have used traditional smoke, streamers, balloons and even fireworks.

“We specialize in creating a magical moment to reveal your baby’s gender,” reads the description.

It’s unclear why the Venezuelan actress, 28, and Puerto Rican singer, 32, wanted this special effect. Maybe they were fans of “Slime Time Live.” (Anyone remember the popup at Aventura Mall?) And a call to GRM requesting further information went unanswered Monday morning.

Regardless, all ended well, as in no trips to the ER. On Guaynaa’s Insta, he is seen after her accident, paint all over both of them.

“JUSTO COMO QUERÍA! NIÑAAAAAAAA!”

(“Just like she wanted! A girl!”)
