‘Not easy to do’: See Miami influencer Alix Earle go without makeup amid acne breakout

Some of Alix Earle’s many followers may have been surprised at her weekend post. She looked, well, different.
Because the TikTok It girl took it all off, and we’re not talking about her clothes.
In a carousel Sunday, the 24 year old showed various shots of her dealing with a significant acne breakout while on a trip to New York City.
Earle goes on to say she has struggled with acne since middle school, and makeup has always been her “safe space.”
After receiving a pore extraction at NYC dermatologist Dr. Kiran Mian’s office, the UM alum decided to go naked for the first time.
Earle bravely headed out on the town without a stitch on, with her splotches on full display.
“Seems dramatic but for me I was petrified and felt like the only thing people were going to look at was my skin,” said the caption. “After three days of being out fresh faced … I realized no one cared or noticed.”
Earle ends the post advising others to break free from all the primer, concealer, foundation and other goop.
“Coming home last night felt really liberating and I encourage anyone who needs to give their skin a break at school, work, etc to try it. Real skin is beautiful.”
The majority of followers appreciated Earle’s candor.
