There’s an update in Marcus Jordan’s arrest in Florida. The charges just got changed

Marcus Jordan got a break (sort of) two weeks after his arrest in Central Florida, TMZ first reported.

Officers from the Maitland Police Department took Michael Jordan’s son into custody in the early hours of Feb. 4 after encountering him trying to get his Lamborghini SUV off some railroad tracks.

Jordan admitted to having a “few drinks” while out clubbing and the police report noted he had “slurred speech.”

The 34 year old was booked on three charges, including DUI crash with property damage, resisting an officer without violence and possession.

Officers initially thought the sneaker entrepreneur was carrying cocaine in his pocket, but further testing by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement revealed the powdery substance was something else: ketamine.

According to the DEA, the medication, used by doctors as an anesthetic, is a Schedule III non-narcotic, meaning it has moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence. Cocaine, with “a high potential of abuse,” is Schedule II.

“Friends” star Matthew Perry, who drowned in his hot tub in 2023, was reportedly on ketamine infusion therapy to treat depression and anxiety. It is unclear if Jordan has a prescription for it.

Prosecutors have officially changed Jordan’s drug possession charge to a third degree felony, meaning likely a less harsh penalty for the Orlando resident.

According to the Orange County Clerk of Court, a hearing on his case for March 20 was canceled. No new date yet appears.
