‘Aging like FINE wine’: Ricky Martin posts selfies ahead of high-energy show in Miami
Ricky Martin’s still got the moves that shot him to stardom as one of the members of Menudo 40 years ago (yes).
And the Puerto Rican pop star showed them off in front of a packed house at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables Monday night.
With a little help from DJ Spinderella, Martin performed a free concert commemorating World AIDS Day, uniting in the fight against HIV.
“I’m here for you, whatever you need, I’m ready,” the 52-year-old singer told the enthusiastic crowd. “I’m here to tell you my story through music. Life has highs and lows, but we’re here standing, standing strong.”
On the evening’s set list were some of his greatest Spanish and English hits including “Vente Pa Ca,” “Nobody Wants to be Lonely,” “Maria,” “Ole, Ole, Ole,” and naturally, “Livin’ La Vida Loca.”
Just before the high energy show, full of bright lights, backup dancers, and myriad costume changes, Martin shared a carousel of “silly selfies” to Instagram. The father of four looked not only handsome, but years younger. By Tuesday, the post has received more than 192,000 likes with commenters throwing down the compliments left and right.
“Eternally handsome.”
“Aging like FINE wine.”
“Bro found the fountain of youth.”
