Alexis Ohanian had a major reason to be grateful on Thanksgiving.

The Reddit co-founder, who is married to Serena Williams, opened up about a recent health scare in a Thursday Instagram post.

Along with a picture of him wearing a surgical cap and hospital scrubs, Ohanian tells his 864,000 followers that he recently underwent surgery, and hopefully dodged a bullet.

The 41-year-old mogul goes on to explain that doctors had been watching “some suspicious nodules” on his thyroid, the gland that controls metabolism as well as other bodily functions, for the last four years.

The “gnarly” nodules continued to grow, he says, and a new biopsy showed they’d “very likely” turn cancerous. The picture shows a raw, red horizontal scar on his neck, where half of the gland was removed.

Ohanian, who also suffers from Lyme disease, revealed he had another reason to be concerned. His mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer around his age, eventually died of brain cancer about a decade later.

“I wasn’t gonna take any chances,” said his caption, adding that everything went smoothly and he’s doing well, except he can’t lift weights for two weeks.

The Palm Beach Gardens resident — who was well enough to take daughters Olympia, 7, and Adira, 15 months, to Disney World — ends his message on a serious note.

“To my fellow men — make those doctor’s appointments — especially if y’all are dads. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.’”

Coincidentally, Serena also had her own similar health scare a few months ago.

In an October TikTok video, the 43-year-old ace told fans she had a “grapefruit sized” branchial cyst on her neck taken out. Doctors advised her to take out the fluid filled sac as it was at risk of getting infected, “or worse, leak.” Tests confirmed it was benign.
