Meet the newest star of Real Housewives of Miami: ‘I’m the twist no one’s prepared for’
Say hello/hola to your newest “Real Housewives of Miami” star.
She’s Stephanie Shojaee, who will take the place of departing cast member, Dr. Nicole Martin, for the upcoming Season 7.
Andy Cohen introduced the real estate developer on Saturday during a panel discussion at Bravo’s Fan Fest at Ice Palace Studios in downtown Miami.
“Guess what, y’all!” the Bravo chieftain yelled to the crowd. “I wanted to bring you a special guest, OK?”
Shojaee, 40, jumped out in a green shorts suit to greet her costars, including OGs Alexia Echevarria, Lisa Hochstein, Marysol Patton, Adriana De Moura and Larsa Pippen.
When Cohen asked what the ladies thought of the latest addition to their franchise, Echevarria told the honcho she thinks Shojaee’s a kindred spirit.
“She’s feisty, she’s opinionated, we’re both Alphas, so were both strong,” she said. “I think it’s a great thing.”
Pippen agreed, calling her close friend “fabulous.”
“I just feel like she’s a great girl,” she said. “She adds a lot of value to our friend group...I love spending time with her.”
So what does Shojaee think of the crew?
“My first impression was that they were very calm and very sweet,” the Colombiana (née Mejia) joked to the audience. “That lasted five minutes.”
We think Shojaee will hold her own just fine.
The power player, who calls herself “small but mighty,” helps run the Coral Gables based Shoma Group with her husband, Masoud Shojaee. The Iranian native, 65, founded the company behind such projects as Shoma Bazaar, Sanctuary Doral Park and CityPlace Doral, in 1988.
What to expect from the newbie? Probably the unexpected.
“The best way that I can describe myself is that I’m like this very tough cookie, but I’m a delicious cookie,” the businesswoman told Bravo after the announcement. “I’m one of those really, really large cookies that not everybody can eat all at once and they don’t even want to eat it all at once, but there’s just so much that I bring that I bring to the table. I’m the twist that no one’s prepared for in every setting.”
