Now that the divorce dust has settled, Sophie Turner is opening up.

The “Game of Thrones” star admitted to Harper’s Bazaar UK in a new interview that her marriage to Joe Jonas had its moments but was, for the most part, not meant to be.

“I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad,” she told the outlet. “We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.”

The parents of two spent roughly half of their four year union in Miami’s Bay Point community, where they bought a six-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot house in September 2021.

Turner and Jonas seemed on steady ground during their time in the Magic City, until they weren’t.

News broke over Labor Day weekend 2023 that the pop star had filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County, and things got ugly quickly. The two sparred over custody and where they would live and raise their children.

As per the docket, a local judge signed off on the case on Sept. 6, declaring the singer, 35, and actress, 28, officially single.

The agreement ironed out how their assets were divided and laid out a parenting plan regarding their young daughters. Because it was confidential, it’s unclear where Jonas lives now, but his last Instagram post puts him back in Miami, parked outside a Doggi’s Arepa Bar.

But Turner is back home in London, working on her TV show “Joan” and going strong with fellow Brit, aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.

Turner couldn’t say much more about the ex boybander as they are still going through a “legal process,” but admitted she’s pleased with how everything turned out and was homesick living abroad.

“Every city we ended up in, the first thing I’d do was find a British shop and stock up on a month’s worth of chocolate,” she said. “I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England.”

She thinks her kids are proud of how far she’s come.

“I want them to see me having a social life and enjoying work and thriving in my career and relationships. I want them to see a hard-working mum.”
