Drake’s hooking people up with free chicken on his birthday. How to get the ‘hot’ deal

Drake’s birthday is coming up, but he’s the one giving out gifts.

On Thursday, the Canadian rapper will celebrate his 38th year on earth by hooking everybody up with a slider at Dave’s Hot Chicken.

Why? Not just because he’s a nice, generous person. Drake’s an investor in the fast growing chain, which was started in 2017 by a couple of pals as a late night popup in a Los Angeles parking lot.

The catch: The in-store promotion runs from 11 a.m. -9 p.m., but must be redeemed through the app. So don’t bother Door Dashing and expecting gratis grub.

Of the 200 plus locations all over the United States, South Florida already has two. One’s in Pembroke Pines, and a spanking new spot just opened in Aventura. We hear Wynwood is also on the radar.

I tried the food and it was amazing,” the “God’s Plan” singer said in a statement about his business venture. “After meeting the founders and hearing their story, I jumped at the opportunity.”

As the name suggests, the restaurant sells hot chicken, as in spicy. The Nashville-style tenders, crispy and deep fried, range in heat. The flavors run from mild (sorry, not really) up to the Reaper, for which you have to be at least 18 and sign an alarmingly worded waiver.

DHC’s CEO Bill Phelps, thinks that once you’ve tried this face-numbing, tear-inducing stuff once, you’ll be back, despite the considerable pain involved.

“As this brand expands from coast-to-coast and abroad, it’s the authenticity of the food, founders, team members and investors, like Drake, which ensure we’ll continue to blow people’s minds.”
