Two days before his shocking fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, former One Direction singer Liam Payne’s girlfriend went home to Miami.

Kate Cassidy chronicled her trip on TikTok with the caption, “So happy to be back in the Sunshine State.”

The influencer explained to her 468K plus followers why she left in the voiceover on the way to catch her flight.

“I was so ready to leave, honestly. I love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long,” she said. “We were supposed to be there for, like, five days. Turned into two weeks, and I was just like, I need to go home.”

In another, earlier video, the New Jersey native revealed the couple arrived in the Argentine capital Sept. 30 to see Payne’s former One Direction bandmate, Niall Horan, perform on Oct. 2.

On Wednesday, Buenos Aires police say Payne plunged from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel at around 5 p.m. local time. As per CNN, which viewed a preliminary autopsy report, the “X Factor” star died from multiple injuries and “internal and external” hemorrhaging. A toxicology report is pending.

As of late morning Thursday, Cassidy, who was dating the pop star on and off for about two years, had not updated her social media. The Coastal Carolina University grad’s last Instagram post, in a bathing suit by her pool, was flooded with commenters. Some people demand she release a statement, others sent condolences.

A few came to her defense; e.g., “I honestly hope she turns her comments off. Y’all are sick. She just lost one of the most important people in her life and y’all are harassing her for answers. Have some common decency.”
