Odell Beckham Jr.’s brother won ‘Love Island.’ Here’s advice he gave on relationships
America has spoken and “Love Island USA” has a winner. Well, two.
Contestants Kordell Beckham and Serena Page walked off the reality competition $100,000 richer on Sunday, thanks to being voted the show’s fan favorite couple.
Another person who approves of the new pairing? That would be Kordell’s big brother, Odell Beckham Jr., who FaceTimed in to say hello on the July 18 episode.
The Miami Dolphins player, who’s been watching the entire season, got to “meet” Page and give the relationship his blessing.
The 31 year old, whose parents are divorced, shares the same father, Odell Sr., with Kordell, 22.
In the video call, the wide receiver said he noted the sparks between them “from the jump” when they coincidentally arrived on the island of Fiji wearing the same colored outfits.
“The green and green, boom!” said the baller. “Y’all just got matched together. I felt that, I’m telling you.”
Jr. admitted that people keep wanting the tea on his “lil bro.”
“I’m talking about everybody hitting me up talking about, ‘Have you been watching?’ and it’s just crazy,” Jr. said laughing, adding he thought Page, 24, was a “great partner.”
The Louisiana native, who was at one point linked to Kim Kardashian, also gave his two cents about romance.
“Love is the most powerful thing that we have,” he said. “Nothing better than just laughing with your person. I just feel like life’s all about enjoying the moments.”
The football star signed off with an invite to Hard Rock Stadium.
“I don’t know how hot it is down there, but Miami’s kind of hot so y’all get ready to come to these games,” the NFL star told them.
Miami may be a good meet-up point for the reality couple, who split the earnings down the middle. Both were born in Houston; Kordell, an aircraft fueler, lives in Dallas, Serena, a media planner, in Los Angeles.
As for Kordell, he was thrilled that his famous sibling was “geeking” over his boo.
“My brother is very supportive,” he told E! News. “We talk damn near every day.”
