Tekashi 69’s Lambo and Bentley auctioned off to pay his tax debts. Total: $260,543
Going, going, gone! To the highest bidder.
If you ever dreamed of driving around in a luxury car owned by rapper Tekashi 69, you may have missed the window.
A snazzy vehicle seized by the IRS in an April raid at his Lake Worth, Florida, house, was recently snatched up in a public auction. The New York native was not at home, as we hear his home base is currently the Dominican Republic.
The 2019 Lamborghini Urus was sold Tuesday for $175,043 to an undisclosed individual, who will need to pick it up from Apple Towing in Opa-locka.
The four-door SUV, which had 49,294 miles and was in “good condition,” had an unusual feature: The exterior was splattered in colorful paint in a “custom job,” according to the description.
The wheels were posted on the block for $96,200 on July 9; 30 high rollers participated.
Another luxury, paint-splattered car that was confiscated by feds was a 2017 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which sold at auction for $85,500, TMZ reports.
The proceeds, a total of $260,543, will reportedly go toward covering the “Gummo” singer’s debts.
“Payment due within 24 hours of sale closing,” says the government’s website. “The successful bidder is obligated to take ownership of any lien (s) or encumbrances attached to property sold on this lot.”
There has been no statement from Tekashi’s camp since the raid when his lawyer, Lance Lazzaro issued a statement saying they “are assessing the situation.”
The tax issues are just the latest in a long line of problems for the embattled entertainer, who has a rap sheet dating back years.
Most recently, in January, the 28 year old was arrested in Santo Domingo on domestic violence charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, reggaeton star Yailin la Más Viral.
The hip-hopper, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, was ordered to pay a $510 deposit, undergo government counseling and regularly meet with authorities.
Yailín, aka Jeorjina Guillermo-Diaz, was also arrested for her role in the incident. She was released after Tekashi posted her $9,000 bail.
