He was breakdancing in the rain during Miami’s wild storms. So who is the mystery man?

Floating cars. A catfish stuck under a tire. People jet skiing down the street. Of all the scenes during Miami’s wild tropical rainstorms last week, one went way viral.

In a clip shared by Only in Dade, a man dressed in black breakdances under a gushing downpour of water under an unidentified overpass to the hip-hop tune “Bounce.”

The post tagged Samy Hawk, who actually is a professional dancer and apparently didn’t channel Channing Tatum just on a weather-inspired whim.

On his own page, Hawk, a 2022 winner of MTV’s “Becoming a Pop Star,” shares the video with his own caption: “When it rains in Miami but you grew up watching ‘Step Up.’”

Most of the native Venezuelan’s 300K plus followers were duly impressed.

“That was badass! Stay safe down there in the 305!”

“This is actually fire.”

“Awesome.”

At least a few were concerned about his health; e.g, “This video gave me pneumonia but it was worth it.”

Hawk, who is also a member of the local band Los Wizzards, responded in the comments that he was fine, and had already taken “his Vitamin C and soup.”
