After her arrest in Europe, Nicki Minaj announces new tour dates. Is Miami on the list?
There’s no stopping Nicki Minaj.
Despite being arrested over the weekend at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, her show will go on, and on.
On Wednesday, Minaj announced the second leg of her Pink Friday 2 world tour.
Reason? “Phenomenal fan demand,” says a press release.
The newly added North America dates will see the rap star do a total of 22 additional shows, including three stops in Florida.
The Trinidad-Tobago native hits Jacksonville Oct. 4, Tampa Oct. 5 and then onto Miami’s Kaseya Center on Oct. 6.
Here’s to hoping she doesn’t hit any snags.
As for Saturday’s international incident, Dutch police said in a statement that the 41 year old was briefly in custody for attempting to leave the country while in “possession of soft drugs, which is prohibited.”
Many of the “Anaconda” singer’s fans (aka Barbz) saw the whole thing go down on her Instagram Live.
Minaj later gave an update on X telling followers that authorities found “weed” in her travel party’s bags.
“Keep in mind they took my bags without consent,” read the mother of one’s post.
After about six hours, Minaj was fined and sent on her way, Dutch police said.
Minaj later apologized to fans on X, especially folks in Manchester, where that show had to be rescheduled due to the unfortunate incident.
“They succeeded at their plan to not let me get on that stage tonight. I succeeded @ getting to the root of it all by recording them & posting everything in real time,” said the entertainer’s lengthy post. “I have sooooooooo much video evidence. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you. I’ll have the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho.”
