If you think you haven’t heard Usher on the airwaves for awhile you haven’t been paying attention.

The R&B singer behind early 2000s smashes like “Yeah!” (with guests Lil Jon and Ludacris) and “OMG” (with will.i.am) and “My Boo” (with Alicia Keys) has added a third night to his Miami run of arena dates at the Kaseya Center in October on his Past Present Future tour. The sexy superstar’s rolling into Miami on a wave of recent high profile activities.

Usher has the Super Bowl halftime show locked up for Sunday in Las Vegas. The performance should happen around 8 p.m. and CBS is broadcasting the football game.

This makes Usher, 45, one of two pop music superstars in the stadium for cameras to swarm over. Want to bet Taylor Swift gets screen time cheering for beau Travis Kelce as his Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium?

Usher’s My Way: The Las Vegas Residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM from July 2022 to last December made him the hit of the Strip. His famous on-stage dance partners, including “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson and “Insecure” actress Issa Rae, made the residency go viral. None more so than an on stage pas de deux in July with actress/TV host Keke Palmer that led Palmer’s partner (and father of their son) to shame her on social media and allegedly led to their split, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Usher drops “Coming Home,” his first new solo studio album in eight years on Friday, two days before the Super Bowl performance.

The Miami concerts

So now Miami gets its dance with Usher and it’s a three-night engagement on his 24-city Past Present Future North American tour.

Usher originally had Downtown Miami’s Kaseya Center booked for Oct. 11 and 12. On Thursday, a third night was added for Oct. 14.

Presale tickets went on sale Wednesday via LiveNation and Ticketmaster. A general on-sale date is 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12. As with other mega concerts you have to join the Ticketmaster queue to get details like prices.

The three Miami October dates are the only stops in Florida for this leg of the Usher tour. He’s got a run of four dates in California in Inglewood and Oakland in September and heads to Atlanta for two nights after the Miami run.

Usher headlines the Super Bowl halftime show from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11, 2024. The show runs around 8 p.m. that Sunday night and will be broadcast by CBS.
