‘What is this for?’ Folks have opinions about Alix Earle’s random gift from NFL beau
It’s said that cash is king, but is it a great present?
After influencer Alix Earle posted a TikTok on Tuesday showing fans that her boyfriend, Miami Dolphins player Braxton Berrios, randomly gave her four $100 bills, the comments came flooding in.
“I’m sitting here with my heating pad on and my man just handed me $400,” Earle said from bed, waving the money around as her man laughs in the background.
“What did I do to deserve this?” she asked Berrios, who doesn’t respond. “What is this for?”
Earle then answers the question herself, saying to the camera: “For being a great girlfriend, thank you.”
Most folks approved of the somewhat unromantic gesture, which famously landed Jerry in the hot seat during a classic “Seinfeld” episode when he gifted Elaine $182 cash.

Earle’s 20-second clip ended up racking up more than 1.2 million likes, with most people saying they wanted a Berrios clone for themselves.
“Drop that Amazon link for a copy of him, pls thx ily.”
“Where do u find men like this?”
“I need to show this to my husband.”
Others joked that Earle was worthy of the dough.
“It’s his monthly maintenance fee.”
“Princess treatment,” chimed in another.
But a few social media users, noting the pain of the economy, weren’t having it.
“I️ can barely even pay my bills working two jobs 60 plus hours a week. Lol. That’s my entire bank account basically.”
“$400. I could keep my heat and electric on for another month that would be great.”
“That’s what I made in the whole month of December.”
For context, Berrios can certainly afford such trinkets for his lady.
Last year, the wide receiver signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract, including a $1.5M signing bonus.
