Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan: See actor pose like James Bond in front of his art in Miami
Depending upon the year you were born in the 20th century, Pierce Brosnan is either Remington Steele or James Bond.
For millennial Art Basel attendees, the dashing Irishman is an artiste.
The 70 year old, who is aging like a fine wine (or someone who has a portrait melting in an attic somewhere) unveiled his first solo exhibit, “So Many Dreams” at Art Miami.
It’s a large scale collection of “biographical and deeply personal” paintings and drawings that the actor first started as an emotional release in the late ‘80s, after his first wife died of cancer.
“One night, I got up, and I just started painting,” Brosnan told the Associated Press of his creative process earlier this year. “I started painting with my fingers.”
His current wife, Keely Shaye Smith, co-curated the show and has reportedly been instrumental in helping get his new career off the ground.
Brosnan gave the former TV journalist, 60, a shout-out on Instagram as they headed to the downtown Miami show in a car on Wednesday.
“You made it happen, my love,” said the post that included a selfie of the happy couple, who have been married since 2001.
On Sunday, Brosnan, who stepped into 007’s shoes in 1995 for four films, showed a snap of himself looking every inch the fictional British spy, standing in front of one of his pieces in a dark suit and sunglasses.
Swoon.
