Alex Rodriguez walks the walk and talks the talk — in Spanish.
The former baller posted an Instagram video from a terrace somewhere in Miami, clearing up a few facts for inquiring minds.
“Saludos, mi gente,” the 48 year old begins with a screenshot of a fan message that read, “Had no idea you spoke Spanish.”
Translation: Greetings, my people.
He then says, in an almost perfect accent, that a lot of people have asked him why he doesn’t speak more Spanish.

Rodriguez explains that he was born in New York, but both his parents are from the Dominican Republic, so the genes run deep and he’s bilingual through and through. (Lourdes and Victor Rodriguez, a former baseball player, divorced when ARod was 9.)
The father of two ends the post saying that if you send him a question in Spanish, he totally understands and won’t need Google Translate to answer you back. Understand? We mean, comprende?
