Cher slept here: Check out the pop star’s former mansion in Miami Beach. It’s for sale
A stunning mansion located in the ultra exclusive community of La Gorce Island in Miami Beach, has serious celebrity cred — and it’s for sale.
Cher reportedly owned the six bedroom, nine bathroom Spanish-style spread for a time, using it as a waterside retreat after buying it in 1993 for $1.5 million.
The 77-year-old singer made a hefty profit, flipping it three years later for $4.35M.
These days, this 12,450 square feet looker appreciated quite a bit more, going for a cool $42.5 million.
The home was originally built in 1953, according to listing agent Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman, and looks a lot different than in back in the day.
The current owners are Canadian financier James Eaton and his wife, Cecily, who paid $17 million for these digs during the initial stages of the pandemic in 2020.
As per a press release, the bougainvillea-draped mansion under their watch was “stylishly elevated to modernity.” The couple kicked things up a notch, raising ceilings, installing new flooring and combining rooms.
Highlights: Grand dual staircases; a chef’s kitchen; Art Deco-style bar; fitness studio; and pool, complete with outdoor shower, hot tub, sun deck and cabana.
If you happen to have a boat, it’s good to know there’s 158 feet of linear frontage, on the approximately three quarter of an acre land.
Added bonus: When you have friends over, you will never run out of cocktail party convo about the previous owner. (Pro tip: Make up a cool playlist of her greatest hits).
