Is Lionel Messi getting a 561 area code?

The Inter Miami soccer god was recently photographed checking out a mansion in Boca Raton with wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their eldest son Thiago. The 10-year-old wore his dad’s No. 10 jersey and carried a blue takeout bag from Pura Vida. A rep from the popular wellness cafe confirmed to the Miami Herald that the famous sports family ordered grub from there.

Though we don’t know exactly where this particular house is located, Boca Raton certainly makes sense geographically, as it’s about a 20 mile drive north from DRV PNK Stadium, where Messi practices and plays home games.

The Palm Beach County city (population, 97,422 in the 2020 census and ranked as the 23rd largest city in Florida in 2022), is safe, manicured and, well, very pretty. Famous past and present residents include Ariana Grande, Jon Bon Jovi and tennis great Chris Evert and the well heeled residents are used to famous people in their midst.

Will the 36 year old Argentine perfect a different sport in all his spare time while in the Sunshine State? Because as per the pap pictures, Messi was tapping in a ball with a golf club on a putting green on this modern crib’s roof.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner was also snapped checking out a waterfront mansion said to be on the Intracoastal Waterway, a postcard-perfect area often referred to as Millionaires Row. Living there would mean a smaller commute, and put him closer to all the action in Miami-Dade County.

Seems he and Roccuzzo gel with the 305 vibe as well, just last week dining out with Barcelona buddy Sergio Busquets and his girlfriend as well as the Beckhams — who have a styling pad at One Thousand Museum downtown — at Bad Bunny’s clubstaurant, Gekko.

And with Messi’s $54 million salary, he is one of the few folks who can actually comfortably afford Miami’s real estate.
