‘I’m in so much pain’: Watch rap star DJ Khaled completely wipe out while surfing
Major wipeout alert!
DJ Khaled is seriously smarting after a day out on the water in Turks and Caicos (because that’s where Drake vacations, he joked).
In a video shared to Instagram Sunday, the producer tries to stand up on what appears to be a foilboard, also known as a hydrofoil, a kind of electric surfboard that can hover above the waves.
After several seconds of riding in a kneeling position, the 47 year old father of two then attempts to stand up and goes flying, plunging into the ocean. Hard.
A subsequent clip shows him on a massage table, telling his 34.8 million followers through the headrest that he not only bellyflopped and flew through the sky, but slammed his rib on the way down.
“I’m in so much pain,” he growns. “I called a doctor … just to look and make sure it ain’t nothing serious. My masseuse is saying it’s just the muscle. She feels the muscle really irritated and disturbed in that area but now it’s like, it’s affecting the process of the progress and I can’t have that.”
The “All I Do Is Win” rapper then is seen in another post wearing a lead apron, about to get an X-ray on his lower half.
The 305 resident – real name Khaled Mohammed Khaled – is not able to get much sleep because he’s in a world of hurt.
“The doctor said I got a big, real bad bruise,” explains the hip hop star, who has continued to play golf throughout the ordeal. “They said on the bone, they’ve seen a little line....”
The latest post on Thursday morning shows Khaled is still in Turks, smartly relaxing in his hotel room overlooking a sparkling swimming pool and beyond that, the sea.
“God is so great,” he says in a voice-over. “I’m just going to chill today.”
Let’s hope Khaled is well enough by July 20 to play in his inaugural We The Best Foundation Golf Classic at the Miami Beach Golf Club. He’s not the kind of guy who likes to sit on the sidelines.
