Going, going, gone!

David “Big Papi” Ortiz just said adios his pocket of paradise in Pinecrest. The retired Boston Red Sox slugger sold his sweet, suburban manse for a cool $10.5 million.

A source familiar with the situation told Miami.com that the 47-year-old Dominican Fox Sports analyst is “downsizing.”

Makes sense. The MLB legend recently reached a settlement with his ex-wife Tiffany (née Brick) that covered the division of their mutual property, Radar Online reported. The coparents of two had been racking up the legal bills during their reportedly contentious divorce since December 2020, when Tiffany first filed.

The deal for the 10,000 square foot-plus spread, originally listed for $12.5 million in February, set a record as the priciest sale ever in the area, as per listing agent Michael Martinez of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

We hear the anonymous buyer, coincidentally, is actually a big baseball fan from Boston; luxury real estate agency The Dennis Carvajal Group is representing.

The new homeowner will have his run of the five bedroom, eight bathroom place, with such sports-lover amenities as a “galaxy like” home theater; a full bar with an HD video wall of nine paneled screens; and a state-of-the-art outdoor entertainment area complete with pool, spa, gazebo, summer kitchen, fire pits, water fountains and more.

Other handy dandy features include staff quarters, a three-car garage with space for lifts, and, as the new Magic City resident will soon appreciate as hurricane season just kicked up, a home generator.

“Modern style meets unmatched elegance in this tropical paradise in North Pinecrest,” reads the description on Zillow, calling the 2019 custom estate sitting on over an acre “exquisite.”
