SiriusXM just opened a studio in Miami Beach. See a few famous folks who popped by

Howard Stern brought his legendary show to Miami to officially open SiriusXM’s newest state-of-the-art broadcast complex from the heart of Miami Beach last week.

For three days, the self professed King of All Media hosted special shows, and his first time broadcasting from the Magic City.

Celebrities came out in force to partake in the festivities, with some even jamming out in the on-site, 50-seat performance space. SiriusXM Miami also features several artist-first radio and recording studios, in addition to office space, and is located at 2340 Collins Avenue.

Pitbull helped kick off the action, by chatting about what it was like growing up in the Cocaine Cowboys era and even bust a move with the shock jock.

Other mega stars who paid a visit included Jon Bon Jovi, Carlos Vives, the Jonas Brothers (Joe lives here now). Becky G, whose Town Hall special airs at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. May 19, LL Cool J and Carrie Underwood.

Stern, known for not mincing words, asked Underwood about the inspiration for one of her most famous songs, the spurned woman anthem “Before He Cheats.”

Underwood said that at first the record label was “nervous” about the “aggressive” lyrics but they needn’t have been.

The 2005 track off the music star’s debut album became the first country song in history to sell over two million digital copies, and won two Grammys.

The hit was not based on her experiences with infidelity, the country star told Stern.

“That’s the fun thing about music,” said Underwood, “you get to play a character.”
