Sly Stallone breaks silence on divorce: ‘I used to have my priorities all screwed up’
All together now.
The Stallone family put on a united front Wednesday night for red carpet premiere of Paramount Plus’ “Tulsa King.”
Stallone and wife Jennifer Flavin seem to have put all differences aside as they posed with two of their three daughters at the event.
It was a way different story back in August; the 76-year-old actor and his 54-year-old wife were on the road to Splitsville, after Flavin filed for divorce.
Stallone covered up two large tattoos of the former model and paperwork was drawn up in Palm Beach County. But the two surprisingly reconciled a scant month later.
So, what gives?
At one of their first public appearances since announcing they had called off the split, the “Rocky” star told ET he’s a changed man.
“I used to have my priorities all screwed up, you know, work came first, and eventually, I came out of that delusional thinking, and they come first,” Stallone said of his fam. “To actually have them here, that’s what it’s all about.”
Maybe we’ll find out more about the situation when their reality TV eventually airs. Stallone admitted that their marital issues will be a plot point in what the onetime action star refers to the “ultimate home movie.”
“Of course, it’s part of the show,” he said. “It’s the John Lennon thing: ‘Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.’ Hopefully, you’re involved with people who understand the foibles of life and the fragility of it and how rare a real good relationship is.”
“Tulsa King” premieres Sunday, with Stallone playing the title character, mafia big Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who after being released from prison after 25 years builds an empire in an unlikely spot —you guessed it — Tulsa, Oklahoma.
