Way to represent!

Marcello Hernandez made his debut on “Saturday Night Live” and his hometown of Miami couldn’t be more proud.

The local comedian joined longtime cast member Colin Jost on “Weekend Update” to provide his hysterical take on how Latin baseball players differ from American ones as MLB playoffs begin.

“Thank you, New York!” Hernandez began his bit, smacking the iconic desk, occupied by such comedy legends as Chevy Chase, Dennis Miller and Tina Fey.

Jost asks the newcomer calmly if he is a baseball fan. Hernandez then launches into an uproarious routine, gesticulating wildly and switching accents on a dime.

“Well, my mom is from Cuba and my dad is from the Dominican Republic,” Hernandez says, pausing. Then: “So, obviously, they’re divorced.”

Ba-dum-bum-ching.

“That also means I love baseball,” says the former creative director for “Only in Dade,” a super popular site that highlights “the good, the bad and the funny” side of Miami. “You know, Latinos dominate. I’m not saying we’re naturally better. I’m just saying we’re more fun to watch. I mean, Who would you rather watch? Tanner from Kentucky? Or a guy that they call ‘Papi,’ and no one knows why? This guy got so good at his job they started calling him dad!”

Hernandez then goes on to explain how Latin sluggers behave “differently” when they go to bat.

“This guy pulls a chain out of nowhere, he tells the pitcher to relax, then he brings Jesus into it. Once he gets to batting, it’s all hips,” the comedian says while gyrating suggestively into a giggling Jost. “Everyone in the crowd is pregnant by the time he’s done!”

At the end of his shtick, Hernandez manages to bring Miami into the act, joking that when a Latin guy gets interviewed after a game, he’s not “boring.”

“If they do get a sentence off in English, it’s not about the game,” he jokes. “The reporter is like, ‘What was going through your head with that 3-2 slider?’ ”

“Ramon is like, ‘Man, I love Miami, man,’ ” Hernandez says, doing his best Tony Montana impression. “The weather, the people, the food is amazingka.”

The studio audience cracks up; Hernandez obviously crushed it, or in comic speak, killed.

Even often hard-to-please 305 filmmaker/self-appointed ombudsman, Billy Corben congratulated the rising star, calling his debut “epic.”

“See if you can guess my favorite joke,” wrote Corben, whose tag line for pointing out the often insane goings on in the Magic City is “Because Miami.”
