What is the deal with these two?
Candice Swanepoel was rumored to be Kanye West’s latest squeeze, but that’s not looking too likely.
The Victoria’s Secret model was spotted soaking up our balmy weather in a striped bikini on Saturday in Miami Beach but solita.
It’s unclear where West was at the time, because there were no sightings of him in the Magic City. But the designer and model were definitely looking couple-y during outings at New York Fashion Week.
A burgeoning romance would make (kind of) sense.
They are single parents in the spotlight. Swanepoel has two young sons with ex, fellow model Hermann Nicoli; and as anyone with Wifi knows, West coparents four kids with Kim Kardashian.
The two have the whole fashion thing in common, too. Swanepoel appears in ads for the “Gold Digger” artist’s brand of Yeezy sunglasses for GAP (with whom West recently parted ways).
Adding fuel to the rumor fire, a source close to the situation told Entertainment Tonight that the South African catwalker, 33, and Chicago singer, 45, “connected over creativity.”
“They like each other and are happy with how things are going so far,” the source added.
But scratch all that. That was then, this is now.
According to UsWeekly, their alleged coupling was/is quite conscious: “They are together for promotional stuff for his Yeezy line. They collaborate well together,” a different source dished to the gossip outlet. “Anything beyond a working relationship is not true. They are not involved romantically. She’s another one of his muses.”
Aww, we were really looking forward to Hollywood’s new portmanteau, Kandice or Canye.
