He’s in the land of the living — and clicking.

Tuesday was a double header day for Derek Jeter.

The former Miami Marlins owner unveiled both an Instagram page and Twitter account.

This is a pretty big deal for Jeter, who has famously stayed away from any kind of posts, personal or otherwise.

We’re glad to finally see the Captain in this arena and we’re also equally glad that he has a sense of humor about it.

The New Jersey native’s first Tweet, “Looks like I’ve officially run out of excuses,” came along with a repost of a 2014 tweet by a fan that complained, “Derek Jeter has no excuse not to have a Twitter account by now.”

LOL. That’s “Laugh Out Loud,” in case he didn’t know.

On Jeter’s Instagram, with the same handle (his full name), the 47 year old former Yankees shortshop posted a video:

“What’s up everyone? I’m about to start a busy summer so I thought, ‘Hey why not add a little more craziness and dive right in here?’”

The home run king went on to say that he has some projects coming up with his Take2 Charity and will give his followers a “taste of what makes Miami home.”

Jeter ended his video with a plea to trolls: “Take it easy on me. I’m new to this.”

Yikes. It can be tough out there, but probably not as nasty as the old Subway Series crowd.

The baseball icon’s first Instagram message received 83,898 likes by Thursday, so he’s progressing nicely.

But good thing Jeter has some help at home.

In a post on Thursday, he is seen in his living room with his oldest daughter Bella, 4, holding a phone filming him.

“The real creative genius behind my account,” Jeter joked, with the hashtag. #girldad.

The former baller and wife Hannah Davis also share daughters Story, 3, and River, who turns 1 in December, hence his description, “Sleep-deprived father to three amazing girls.”

Jeter’s wife also has a cheeky sense of humor, posting a pic of her husband as a toddler: “It’s never too late to be an influencer,” wrote the Victoria’s Secret alum. “You got this babe.”

We are here for all the adorable, 305-related content. And he just got a follow from Miami.com.
