Daddy Yankee, 45, is retiring. This is how you can see his farewell concert in Miami
Bring on the jokes. Daddy Yankee is retiring at the ripe old age of 45.
We should all be so lucky. Cubicle stiffs have to wait until we’re like 65ish. But hey, we’re not jelly. We’re super proud of Daddy, real name Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez.
The Puerto Rican reggaeton star is one of the best-selling Latin music artists in the world, and can afford to live out the rest of his years comfortably.
The married father of three is the first Latin artist to reach No. 1 on Spotify, the Guinness World Records confirmed in 2017, and he has likely banked some serious coin.
But Daddy’s not completely done yet.
In his Sunday announcement, the “Gasolina” singer told his fans that his final album, called “Legendaddy,” will drop Thursday.
“I’m going to give you all the styles that have defined me, in one single record,” he said in a video.
His farewell tour “La Última Vuelta” kicks off Aug. 10, hitting FTX Arena in downtown Miami Aug. 27.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.
