Let’s hear it for the ladies!

March is Women’s History Month and the Miami Police Department is here for it.

The agency has been saluting its female officers with various posts the past few days; just recently a video showed officers at work at the Calle Ocho Festival on Sunday.

They were out there directing traffic, controlling crowds and keeping an eye out for trouble.

The most recent clip of the fest is one of many that the department will be posting throughout the month saluting “our ladies of law enforcement.”

These women fulfill their duties in a variety of units on the ground, sea and air. Various officers will be saluted on individual posts spotlighting their jobs and the risks they take every day.

The department is no stranger to flashy social media posts. Back in October, the agency released an “epic” recruitment video with MTV style effects.
