‘They said to relax ALL my muscles’: Did kava with Tua make Will Smith cut the cheese?
Will Smith paid a visit to the Miami Dolphins training complex in Miami Gardens over the summer and we just got wind of what went on.
The 53-year-old actor was in town to shoot scenes for his YouTube series “The Best Shape of My Life,” which sees him shedding pandemic lockdown pounds.
In video of the training session, Smith works out with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who offers the movie star kava, a traditional herbal drink from his home state of Hawaii.
Smith seems reluctant to sip it at first due to the way it may affect his digestion.
“Kava?” he laughs. “It does some stuff.”
During a warm-up exercise with a foam roller, Smith’s prediction came true: He toots, rather loudly.
“Excuse me!” the “Bad Boys” star says, while others in the gym laugh.
Later, during a different routine, he passes gas again, blaming the drink. “It’s the kava! Not me!”
Even though the embarrassing episode happened months ago, Smith posted it Thursday night to his 57.1 million Instagram followers.
“They said to relax ALL my muscles,” joked the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s caption.
Many commenters posted laugh emojis and were sympathetic.
“Gas is natural, don’t be ashamed.”
“It happens, but something extra funny about it when it’s Will Smith.”
“Love the realness.”
There were some jokesters out there, too: “Will, I heard you had a BLAST while working out with the Dolphins!”
