Rick Ross for VP?
Who knows? But the Miami rapper seems to be cooking up something. On Ross’ Instagram, he posed with presidential candidate wannabe Kanye West. Yeezy has the same pic on his Insta.
We assume the hip hoppers got together for some unknown project at West’s bunker/ranch in Wyoming, where he’s been working on his new album, “Donda,” and clothing line with Gap.
In the photo, the longtime friends pose, surrounded by swatches of fabric scattered on the floor.
Though it was surprising to see the two together, Ross has been meaning to go see West, he told Billboard earlier this month. He said he was concerned about his “Monster” collaborator’s mental health after some late-night Twitter rants over the summer. Topics included abortion; his famous wife Kim Kardashian; his mother in law, Kris Jenner; and even Harriet Tubman.
West has bipolar disorder, Kardashian wrote on Instagram soon after; the couple seem to be working through any marital issues.
Rozay is also standing by his friend, saying in the interview he wanted to get a clearer picture of what he was going through.
“I just don’t want to drop him on his head yet because it ain’t clear to me what’s going on,” he said. “I haven’t really did any due diligence, I just see what headlines come across, and we know a lot of that s--t inaccurate....He gotta clarify some things, though. It ain’t looking good.”
Things were looking good during their meeting.
West’s Insta caption read “Devil in a Blue...,” a reference to their 2011 classic collab. Could we be hearing a sequel?
Or maybe West wants to bring the big boss onto his ticket for 2024. Because his 2020 presidential campaign as an independent candidate appears to be a bust as he missed signatures to get on the ballot in key states, including most recently, Wyoming, his home.
