The Baker and the Beauty” isn’t going to make it, after all.

The ABC show, set in Miami, premiered amid the coronavirus outbreak in mid-April and has been canceled after a first-season run, Deadline first reported.

The short-lived series followed Daniel (Victor Rasuk), who works in his Cuban family’s bakery in Little Havana. During a night out, he meets The One, Noa (Nathalie Kelley), a gringa fashion mogul. His traditional parents, whose lives revolve around cafecito and croquetas, aren’t exactly receptive.

Though “TBATB” wasn’t highly rated (people were too busy buying toilet paper and binge-watching “Tiger King”), it still had its share of followers.

The stars of the show reached out to disappointed fans on Monday, tweeting cryptically that it could end up somewhere else.

“Guys, we appreciate the love and well wishes following ABC’s decision not to renew us for a second season,” read Kelley’s post that Rasuk shared. “But honestly their loss will be someone else’s gain, so stay hopeful and activated about the show while we find it the right home!”

Commenters let loose their disdain for ABC’s move and tagged other platforms such as Hulu, Netflix and The CW. Many people added the hashtag #renewthebeautyandthebaker.

“Such a stupid decision... a great show and deserved a second season. I’m truly tired of getting invested in these series with a diverse cast only for y’all to cancel them before they really get to the height of their greatness.”

“I’m so sorry. I hope it will continue somehow bc you and the cast deserve so much more!”

“So sad! ABC just lost a gem of a show! The show was beautiful. Great cast, fun music, delicious desserts and foods, modern yet timeless storyline, complex yet simple relationships, amazing culture, full of life and laughter and soulful.”

Some commenters mentioned how the series got them through some dark days of quarantine.

“One silver lining in this crazy time was looking forward to Mondays!!!”

Any takers?
